Primary Responsibility: The HR Coordinator provides HR administrative and operational support across the employee lifecycle, owns the logistics of the hiring and onboarding process, from scheduling interviews, to entering accurate HRIS records and maintaining audit ready personnel files. Successful candidate will effectively collaborate with HR team to support goals.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Recruiting & Candidate Experience
- Owns the onsite interview logistics for candidates, scheduling interviews, confirming schedules, and troubleshooting day-of changes, serving as a point of contact for candidates during onsite interviews.
- Maintains hiring team lists by department, location, and group.
- Assists with coordination of career fair logistics, including booth materials, registrations, and event planning.
Onboarding & Records
- Assists with onboarding checklist items and first-day communications, including background checks, drug screens, employment verifications, and pre-employment documentation.
- Coordinates orientation schedules and ensures completion of onboarding requirements.
- Enters and maintains employee HRIS records including hires, job changes, compensation updates, and terminations.
- Processes employee status changes including promotions, transfers, leaves of absence, and organizational changes in HRIS.
- Maintains electronic personnel files and document storage.
- Maintains employee documentation including I-9s, onboarding forms, and policy acknowledgments.
- Coordinates offboarding activities and exit documentation.
HR Operations & Benefits
- Provides transactional and administrative HR support, including expense reports.
- Supports compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
- Assists employees with benefits administration, including enrollments, qualifying life events, benefit record updates, questions and coordinates with benefits vendors.
- Supports annual open enrollment activities.
- Supports bi-weekly payroll time keeping process.
- Maintains HR procedures, templates, forms, and knowledge-base documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or similar preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 2 + years HR, Manufacturing support or related experience.
- Understanding of employment law, compliance, benefits, payroll.
- Accurate data entry skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Detail oriented, excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
