Overall Job Summary:

To collaborate with the Senior Director and Director of Academic Records and provide guidance and support to the Registration and Graduation Operations team.

 

Supervisor Responsibilities:

Supervises Academic Record Specialists, Veterans Services Coordinator, and Enrollment Operation Specialists.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Provide direction and support to the Registration and Graduation Operations team.  Serve as an escalation point for matters including registration, grades, class schedule, and graduation. 
  2. Collaborate with departments across the university to provide clarity and support regarding Academic Records processes. 
  3. Conduct training sessions for staff to enhance their understanding of policies and procedures.
  4. Maintain and manage the integrity of academic records, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations as it relates to Petition for Exception to Policy, graduation, grade changes, and personal information updates.
  5. Provide support to students, faculty, and staff regarding academic records inquiries.
  6. Monitor and ensure the accuracy of student and academic data in the records system.
  7. Conduct regular data analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
  8. Represent Strategic Enrollment Management in the Commencement Workgroup and provide data for commencement, communication with graduates, and volunteer for the event.
  9. Represent Registration and Graduation Operations on the Petition for Exception to Policy committee.
  10. Perform other daily and annual duties related to case resolution, process functions, knowledge article reviews, reporting, and quality assurance to accurate data.

 

Qualifications:

  • Several years of experience in academic records management or a related area.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations, policies, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and lead a team.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and databases.

 

Required Education:

  • Master's degree in a related field (e.g., Higher Education Administration, Information Management).

  • Salary Range: $54,531 - $70,000 annually
    • Actual compensation will be commensurate with education, experience, skills, internal equity, and market considerations.
