Location: Torrance, CA
Salary: Up to $60/h depending on level of experience
Shift: Mon-Fri from 8 am to 5 pm

Key Responsibilities for Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician:
● Assemble mechanical and electromechanical components using hand and power tools (wrenches, drivers, torque tools, etc.).
● Read and follow engineering drawings, work instructions, and bills of materials to complete builds correctly.
● Fit, fasten, align, and torque components to specification; verify fit-up and functionality before sign-off.
● Identify and troubleshoot assembly issues, fitment problems, or missing/incorrect parts, and escalate as needed.
● Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace; follow 5S and shop safety standards.
● Support a wide range of build types across different product lines and subassemblies as priorities shift.
● Document completed work, inspection results, and any non-conformances per quality procedures.
Basic Qualifications for Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician :
● 4+ years of experience in mechanical assembly, maintenance, or a similar hands-on technical role.
● Strong proficiency with hand tools and basic power tools (torque wrenches, drills, drivers, etc.).
● Ability to read and follow engineering drawings, work instructions, and assembly procedures.
● Comfortable working across a variety of assembly tasks and switching between them throughout the day.
● Strong attention to detail and commitment to build quality.
● Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup manufacturing environment with evolving processes.
● Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a shop-floor setting with appropriate PPE.
Preferred Skills and Experience
● Experience with mechanical assembly in aerospace, nuclear, automotive, or other highly regulated industries.
● Basic electrical or electromechanical assembly experience (wiring, connectors, harnessing).
● Familiarity with torque specifications, fastener standards, and basic hand-tool calibration.
● Prior experience in a startup or low-volume/high-mix production environment.
● Forklift, overhead crane, or rigging certification.
