Long-Term Substitute Special Education Teacher – Preschool
Tonawanda, NY | Full-Time | $23.87/hour Monday–Friday | 8:15 AM–2:45 PM
Looking for an opportunity to grow your teaching experience while making a difference? Join our Preschool Education team as a Long-Term Substitute Special Education Teacher.
You’ll lead classroom instruction, support individualized student goals, and work alongside a team dedicated to helping children learn, grow, and succeed.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Plan and deliver individualized classroom instruction
- Support students’ educational and behavioral goals
- Implement and monitor Individualized Educational Program objectives
- Work closely with families and other education professionals
- Provide direction and support to Teacher Assistants and Aides
- Create a positive, supportive learning environment
Do You Qualify?
You must meet ONE of the following:
Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in special education or a related field
OR
Option 2: Current New York State Teaching Assistant Certification
AND you are currently:
• Working toward NYS Special Education Teacher Certification, or
• Enrolled in an accredited Teacher Certification Program Candidates should also be comfortable working with and supporting children with developmental disabilities.
