The Process Tooling Specialist is responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining stable, capable, and reliable production processes as they relate to equipment functionality and machine/tooling capabilities. The position is accountable for ensuring equipment and tooling to meet established safety, throughput, quality, reliability, and process capability requirements.

The Process Tooling Specialist provides technical leadership and direction to Process and Weld Engineers across three production shifts, ensuring effective implementation of preventive actions, process improvements, and corrective actions throughout the production lines. This role supports the development and verification of capable and stable production processes while resolving issues associated with assembly automation, production tooling, robotic systems, and workstations.

The Process Tooling Specialist must demonstrate strong leadership, analytical, and project-management skills, with the ability to champion data-driven decision making, manage complex projects from concept through completion, and achieve established project budget, timing, safety, quality, and performance targets.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience in automotive assembly and/or machining environment
- Ability to champion data-driven decision making by utilizing production data, downtime information, quality metrics, process capability data, and equipment performance trends.
- Lead and facilitate structured root-cause analysis for recurring process, tooling, quality, and equipment issues.
- Ability to work a flexible work scheduled to identify, investigate, and resolve issues associated with process tooling, assembly automation, robotics, fixtures, workstations, and production equipment.
- Lead, coordinate, and facilitate process tooling problem-resolution activities across multiple functional organizations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or engineering technology, and/or advance degree credit
- Self-directed and motivated Effective problem-solving skills
