Ascension Lutheran Early Childhood Center (ALECC) is looking for a warm, nurturing, and dependable Infant Teacher to join our team for a temporary maternity leave position. This is a full-time, Monday–Friday position beginning in October 2026 and continuing through approximately March 2027.

Our Infant Teachers play an important role in creating a safe, loving, and engaging environment where our youngest children can learn, grow, and feel secure. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with infants and understands the importance of responsive, attentive care during these early years.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing loving, attentive, and developmentally appropriate care for infants
  • Creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
  • Following individual feeding, sleeping, and care routines
  • Supporting infants’ social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
  • Communicating regularly and positively with families
  • Working collaboratively with co-teachers and other members of our teaching team
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
  • Following all ALECC policies, procedures, and licensing requirements
We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with infants or young children
  • Is patient, dependable, nurturing, and energetic
  • Enjoys working as part of a team
  • Communicates professionally and effectively with families and coworkers
  • Is committed to providing high-quality care and creating meaningful relationships with children

Position: Full-Time, Temporary
Schedule: Monday–Friday
