Job Summary

Performs the receipt of incoming goods and/or shipments of finished goods in compliance with established procedures. Provide administrative support to the warehouse leadership team.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Routine duties of checking in drivers, review Bill of Lading, verify trailer seals, schedule appointments, maintain shipping and/or receiving documentation, reconcile receipt information, and maintain daily reports
  • Ability to drive a forklift (preferred but not required)
  • Prepares orders by processing shipments and sample orders; packing boxes; staging orders in delivery area
  • Verify that the goods are intact and report any defects.
  • Completes receipt and delivery of parcel packages to order requestor(s)
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Communicate and cooperate with Supervisors and coworkers.
  • Other duties as assigned

Teamwork, Coordination, Organization, Time Management, Communication, Documentation Skills, Dependability, Forklift Experience (preferred but not required), SAP experience (preferred but not required), Microsoft Office Suite experience (Excel, Word, and Outlook)

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility
  • Candidates should be able to adapt to a traditional warehouse environment
  • May be required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and comply with OSHA standards
  • Frequent exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes, and odors
  • Safety glasses, facemasks and hairnets (where applicable) may be required while performing a specific task

 

Language Skills

Read, write and speak English. Able to communicate and take direction from lead/supervisor/manager.

 

Education and/or Experience

High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or six to twelve months related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
