Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Coordination in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and help maintain an orderly environment. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and team members, and support security-related operations with professionalism and integrity. Pay Rate: $20.95 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and authorized personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and shipping or delivery documentation, maintain visitor and vehicle-entry records, and direct authorized traffic in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, restricted-area concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of cargo-handling areas, gates, docks, parking areas, facilities, and perimeter boundaries to help identify unauthorized activity and report security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with operations personnel, transportation partners, contractors, and emergency responders while supporting orderly access and adherence to applicable port and facility procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
