Position Summary

We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician I to provide technical support across our health centers. This role is responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting end users, and ensuring systems run efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, phones, and printers

  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues

  • Support IT connectivity for medical devices

  • Manage user accounts, passwords, and system access

  • Respond to help desk tickets and provide timely follow-up

  • Coordinate with vendors for technical support

  • Travel to local sites for equipment setup and support

  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and TFHC policies

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience

  • Minimum 2 years of desktop support experience

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

  • Certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft) preferred

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Experience with Windows and Mac systems

  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly

  • Strong organization and multitasking ability

Please note that the employee’s initial training schedule may differ from the regular schedule of the position. All new hires, including part-time employees, must be available for up to 40 hours of in-person, on-site training during their first week. Additional mandatory training may continue for approximately two to three weeks, depending on the position and training requirements. Training may take place at a TFHC location other than the employee’s assigned work location.
