A meat warehouse worker handles, processes, packages, and distributes meat products in a refrigerated storage or food distribution environment. To be vigilant regarding the sanitation conditions and protocols. Ther primary goal is to ensure that products meet rigorous standards while maintaining a safe, compliant work environment for all.
Responsibilities and Duties

- Processing and Packaging: Unpack bulk meat, de-box shipments, load sealers (like Cryovac), and manually or automatically wrap, weigh, and label cuts.Â
- Order Fulfillment: Inspect and assemble various cuts of meat according to specific customer or distribution orders.Â
- Inventory Handling: Use manual pallet jacks, lift heavy boxes (often up to 50–90 lbs), and stock or rotate products. Will assist in inventory counts, inventory control, and movement of products in the warehouse.
- Sanitation and Safety: Clean and sanitize processing equipment, work tables, and floors using power washers or commercial dishwashers. Comply with health codes, temperature logs, and USDA/HACCP guidelines.Â
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for long shifts (6–8 hours) and perform heavy lifting in cold, wet environments.
- Skills: Basic math and reading skills to verify labels, weights, and counts. Ability to work in a fast-paced team setting. Must be able to learn ERP and inventory system.
- Experience: Prior experience in food production, warehousing, or commercial kitchens is preferred
- Machine Experience: Must be able to drive a forklift, pallet jack, and other machinery required for the role.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

- High school diploma: or equivalent.Â
- Minimum 1 year of food industrial/product development lab experience required.Â

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is inside a central heated and air-conditioned office building. There may be a need to enter and walk through a manufacturing setting and wear appropriate PPE. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Manufacturing facility is refrigerated.
