The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading the production operation through effective supervision, coaching, and development of Production Team Leads and Production Associates. This role ensures daily production goals are achieved safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality, cost, delivery, and customer requirements. The Production Supervisor drives accountability through performance management, KPI review, continuous improvement, workforce planning, and cross-functional coordination to support operational excellence.

Shift: Monday - Friday: 6:00AM - 2:30PM

Pay: $71 - $87k + Bonus

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead, manage, and hold direct reports accountable (LMA)
    • Participate in the vetting, selection, and onboarding of production team members
    • Coach, develop, and support Production Team Leads to ensure clear expectations, consistent execution, and strong team performance
    • Monitor efficiency, productivity, and labor performance to ensure expectations are met or exceeded
    • Provide coaching and counseling when performance expectations are not being met
    • Ensure appropriate training, cross-training, and hands-on troubleshooting support are provided to production employees
    • Ensure the master production schedule is followed and communicate priorities to team leads and production employees
    • Conduct regular coaching, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions as needed
  • Drive production performance through KPI boards and daily accountability processes focused on Safety, Quality, Efficiency, Productivity, and 5S
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen manpower and material yield performance
  • Monitor production team time and attendance, address attendance-related issues, request overtime approval as needed, and approve time records and paid time off requests
  • Monitor plant productivity and efficiency daily to ensure manufacturing objectives are achieved in a timely and cost-effective manner that meets quality standards, on-time shipment goals, and customer requirements
  • Monitor time-sensitive customer orders and ensure production is completed on schedule
  • Update daily reports and track trends
  • Oversee the Production Performance Board process across functional areas to reinforce visibility, accountability, and timely follow-up
  • Ensure timely review of RMAs by the production team, including appropriate root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, and look-across activity
  • Ensure 5S initiatives are maintained throughout production areas
  • Participate in daily production meetings to review customer orders, manpower, plant schedule, performance priorities, and open fast-response issues
  • Escalate material, manpower, equipment, and production issues to appropriate stakeholders and plant leadership
  • Monitor department bins and material handling practices to support accurate workflow, inventory control, and operational discipline
  • Develop and execute cross-training plans to build a flexible, multi-skilled workforce across key production resources
  • Coordinate with second-shift leadership to ensure production continuity, consistent staffing coverage, and clear shift-to-shift handoff communication
  • Apply Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) tools and principles to drive accountability, issue resolution, and continuous improvement within the facility
  • Enforce safety policies and practices, proactively identify hazards, and partner with leadership on corrective actions to maintain a strong safety culture
  • Bachelor's degree preferred and five (5) years of leadership experience in a production or manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficiency with business systems software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Proven leadership, delegation, coaching, and performance management skills
  • 5S, Six Sigma, and/or Lean Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities, workflow, and multiple business needs simultaneously
  • Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work within changing priorities with a positive, solution-focused approach

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Job performed indoors in a temperature-controlled office setting as well as in a production environment with some loud machinery noise and occasional non-toxic fumes
