Ticket Sorter

 

SUMMARY: Responsible for verifying quantities of cut tickets and printed labels; ensuring compliance with safety standards and established policies and procedures.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned.  Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.

  • Take trays of cut tickets and rubber band in groups.
  • Sort through and dispose of any tickets not up to standard.
  • Verify the quantities of sorted/bundled tickets and record the weighed quantity.
  • Group according to the Packing List and prepare for packaging and pull samples from each line item.
  • Pre-check label tickets are up to standard and sort accordingly.
  • Scan shipping labels and complete multi-parts orders.
  • Bagging tickets using the shrink wrap machine.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
