Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience programming in C++.
- 5 years of experience testing and launching software products and working with stakeholders.
- 5 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
- 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- 10 years of experience in software development.
- 5 years of experience with full stack development, including backend distributed systems and experience in directly managing people.
- Experience in testing, and launching distributed systems, storage and related software products.
- Experience in programming languages like Golang and C++.
- Ability to manage a small team of 3-4 engineers as direct reports. Ability to act as a technical lead/manager for a team, supporting both their technical growth and career development. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of high-performing engineers who design and model the planet-scale networks powering Google's services and those of the Cloud customers.
- Define and drive the team's technical goals, strategy, and roadmap for modeling infrastructure, exercising strong technical judgment.
- Guide architectural and design decisions for scalable and reliable service deployments through active participation.
- Manage project priorities and resources effectively, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions in a fluid, ambiguous environment.
- Cultivate strong relationships and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders and a varied set of user teams, while upholding high standards for system design, code quality, and operational excellence and advocating best practices for managing and communicating within a remote/hybrid team structure.
