Bring the flavor and the fun! This role is all about preparing delicious food with care and consistency, following banquet recipes and standards, while leading and inspiring the banquet culinary team during assigned shifts. With a focus on hospitality, quality, and teamwork, this position helps ensure every banquet event is a memorable experience for our guests.
What you bring to the table
- Make sure the space stays safe, clean, and friendly for both guests and the rest of the team; speak up and report any safety concerns to the Safety Committee.
- Champion guest interaction standards and coach banquet team members to deliver warm, polished service in alignment with Executive Chef and departmental guidelines.
- Lead the delivery, setup, and smooth execution of food service for buffets, plated meals, and special events, ensuring every detail shines.
- Step into stewarding or main kitchen prep roles when needed understanding flexibility and teamwork are key to success.
- Manage prepared inventory levels, ensuring the team is always ready for scheduled events.
- Prepare and cook food to banquet standards, following recipes, procedures, and direction from the Banquet Chef with precision and pride.
- Organize, complete, and monitor daily prep, cleaning, and production lists, keeping operations running seamlessly.
- Properly label, date, and store food products to meet the highest safety and quality standards.
- Cross-train and support as a main kitchen production cook, adding value wherever the team needs you most.
- Foster open, upbeat communication with team members and supervisors to maintain a collaborative, positive kitchen environment.
- Take on tasks and responsibilities assigned by the Executive Chef or Banquet Chef with enthusiasm and a solution-focused attitude.
- Jump in where needed to support the team and keep things running smoothly. (Other duties as assigned)

- Friendly and approachable attitude that helps guests (and the team) feel welcome and cared for every day.
- Minimum three (3) years of exposure to commercial kitchen environment preferably in the casino or hospitality industry.
- Must be 18 years of age minimum with GED or HS Diploma.
- Must obtain a current Food Handler's Card and have a working knowledge of the regulations.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to follow and provide clear verbal and written instructions to others.
- Comfortable communicating clearly and positively with both guests and teammates.
- Must pass and remain in compliance with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug free workplace policies.
