CRNA opening with a busy practice in northern New Jersey with Overlook Medical Center—known for its centers of excellence. Overlook Medical Center was originally founded in 1906, but has since become one of the leading hospitals in the New York Metropolitan area. Overlook is now a 350-bed hospital in Summit, NJ, that offers a wide array of advanced services, including neurodiagnostic, neurological, and neurosurgical services. This site features a certified Level IV Epilepsy Center and is a hub for the New Jersey Stroke Network and a regional leader in neuroscience care through its Atlantic Neuroscience Institute. Also on campus is The Gerald J. Glasser Brain Tumor Center, where medical experts are performing the most brain tumor surgeries in New Jersey. This close-knit team of CRNAs, who have received Masters and Doctoral degrees, work in a care team model. The staff experiences the support of local and regional leaders who value and promote the critical role each member plays in the overall success of the practice. Case Assignments & Schedule
• Schedule: 10's, 12's, and 24's available Flexible schedules with opportunities for extra hours and call.
• Cases are inclusive of a full CRNA scope of practice.Â
• CRNAs are a part of the L&D team, placing spinals and epidurals.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures
• Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent
• Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients
• Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition and perform interventions as needed
• Support departmental coordination and clinical leadership
Requirements
• Current license as a registered professional nurse
• Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education
• Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
