QUALIFICATIONS

 

      Education

  • Associates of Applied Science degree in Radiology

 

      Experience/Skills

  • At least one year Radiology experience preferred
  • CT experience preferred or willing to cross train as CT Tech

 

 

      Required Licenses/Certifications

  • Indiana State Board of Health (ISBH) Licensure
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registration
  • CPR

 

      Working Conditions

  • Clean, well-lit working environment
  • May work “on call” when needs require

      Job Duties

  • Performs Radiography and/or CT/MRI exams according to department protocols
  • Obtains a history and appropriate diagnosis for exam
    1. Completes all appropriate documentation
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate for patient’s age level, physical condition, mental condition, and emotional status
  • Checks department requisitions and schedule and prioritizes appropriately
  • Recognizes duties requiring completion but not directly assigned
  • Regularly helps other staff
  • Maintains a clean and organized work environment

 

      Department Specific Focus

  • Ensures all charges are documented accurately and charged out correctly
