Lab Tech - Milk Quality

Udder Health Systems is a bovine diagnostic laboratory serving the dairy industry across the county.  The Lab Tech position in Jerome Milk Quality Lab will assist Lab Analysts in providing the following support:

• Receive and rack samples (milk, water, towels, bedding, etc.)
• Data entry of sample information
• Sample setup; plating prep; plating samples
• Restocking field inventory items
• Receive and unpack lab media orders
• Receive shipping; unpack and place in inventory 
• Clean freezers, racks, autoclaving in accordance with lab maintenance guidelines
• Sample pick up up to 6 hours per day (driving company vehicle)
• Field supply organization and prep

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Must have a working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and be familiar with database systems
• Ability to work autonomously in a busy lab environment
• Some education in life sciences preferred; lab experience preferred

This is a full time position, primarily Monday-Friday, with some weekend work as needed.  Full benefit package available.
