Willoughby Golf Club is seeking an experienced, passionate, and highly organized Chef de Cuisine to join our culinary leadership team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a culinary professional who thrives in a fast-paced private club environment and is committed to delivering outstanding dining experiences for our members.

Position Summary

The Chef de Cuisine is responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, leading and developing culinary team members, maintaining exceptional food quality standards, and ensuring a culture of excellence throughout the kitchen. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who values teamwork, consistency, creativity, and member satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and motivate culinary staff in all kitchen operations
  • Execute and maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
  • Assist in menu planning, recipe development, seasonal offerings, and special events
  • Manage food ordering, inventory controls, product rotation, and cost management
  • Ensure compliance with all sanitation, food safety, and standards
  • Train, coach, and develop kitchen team members while fostering a positive work environment
  • Maintain labor standards and scheduling to support operational needs
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and front-of-house leadership to ensure exceptional member experiences and achieve strategic goals
  • Monitor kitchen equipment and coordinate maintenance as needed
  • Oversee daily culinary operations across all dining outlets, banquets, and special events

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive culinary leadership experience
  • Prior Chef de Cuisine, Executive Sous Chef, or senior kitchen leadership experience preferred
  • Experience in a private club, resort, luxury hotel, or upscale restaurant environment highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of food costing, inventory management, and labor controls
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and during peak seasonal periods
  • ServSafe Certification preferred
