Position Overview

As the Property Accounting & Administrative Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the on-site management team by overseeing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring seamless administrative operations. Your responsibilities will include processing invoices, managing accounts payable and receivable, tracking occupancy and leasing data, and assisting with budget management. Additionally, you will collaborate with vendors, coordinate financial reporting, and help implement process improvements to enhance overall efficiency.  


What You Will Do

  • Provide administrative and accounting support to the on-site property management team 
  • Assist with processing invoices, accounts payable/receivable, and resident payment 
  • Maintain financial records, leasing reports, and occupancy data to support property performance tracking 
  • Help coordinate vendor payments and ensure compliance with budget guidelines 
  • Support the on-site team with reporting, budgeting, and financial documentation 
  • Assist in overseeing and supporting the on-site staff management. 
  • Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned by management 
  • Must be able to work a full shift / required work schedule on-site at the property.  
  • Must be available for additional hours including evenings and weekends as needed.  
  • Must be available to assist with move-outs, turn, and move-ins that extend beyond normal full-time hours 
  • Must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly, as required by the demands of the job. This may include bending, stooping, and lifting throughout the workday. 

Ideally, You'll Have

Ideally, you'll have 

  • High School graduate; college degree preferred but not required 
  • 2+ years of experience in an accounting or administrative role, preferably in student housing or property management. 
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to multitask and support both financial and operational aspects of the property. 

 

You'll crush it if you have experience with 

  • Student housing or multi-family property management accounting. 
  • Yardi, Entrata, or other property management financial software. 
  • Assisting on-site teams with financial reporting, resident account management, and lease administration. 
  • Implementing process improvements to enhance financial efficiency within a property management setting.
