We are looking for an experienced Slot Shift Supervisor to join our Slot Operations team. This position plays a key role in supporting the daily operation of the slot floor, ensuring exceptional guest service, maintaining operational integrity, and providing leadership to Guest Service Representatives and other assigned team members. This position will report directly to the Slot Manager and will be responsible for:
· Supporting and directing the day-to-day operations of the Slot Operations Department and Players Club, including supervising Guest Service Representatives.
· Assisting the Slot Technical team with communication regarding the installation, maintenance, and repair of slot machines and related equipment.
· Ensuring the highest level of guest service is consistently delivered on the slot floor.
· Providing direct supervision, coaching, guidance, and support to Guest Service Representatives and other assigned personnel.
· Handling large sums of money in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
· Monitoring slot machine performance and identifying issues requiring immediate attention.
· Leading or assisting with shift briefings to communicate priorities, promotions, machine updates, and service expectations.
· Assisting with hiring, training, scheduling, and team management activities.
· Supporting operational goals by monitoring performance and helping achieve revenue and profitability objectives.
· Coordinating staffing needs and scheduling concerns to ensure appropriate coverage and guest satisfaction.
· Making recommendations to improve Slot Operations and reporting concerns to management.
· Promoting and demonstrating exceptional guest service in accordance with Happy Valley Casino standards.
· Addressing guest concerns and ensuring satisfactory resolution of issues.
· Working with various slot management and casino operating systems.
· Authorizing and verifying jackpot payments in accordance with established procedures and applicable regulations.
· Assisting with jackpot and hand-pay payouts while maintaining strict control of confidential credentials and sensitive information.
· Supporting strategies related to guest service, slot floor performance, revenue growth, and expense management.
· Assisting in the maintenance of departmental paperwork, logs, schedules, reports, and communications.
· Supporting the overall integrity and compliance of daily slot operations.
· Ensuring compliance with all gaming regulations, company policies, and departmental procedures.
· Participating in employee development, training, recognition, and engagement initiatives.
· Providing constructive performance feedback and coaching to team members.
· Assisting with interviewing, staffing recommendations, scheduling, and workflow management.
· Recommending disciplinary, coaching, and counseling actions when appropriate.
· Maintaining strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
· Performing all other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate for this role will possess the following:
· High School Diploma or GED required.
· A minimum of one (1) year of Slot Operations experience, one (1) year of guest service management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
· Knowledge of slot operating systems and gaming operations preferred.
· Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
· The ability to effectively interact with guests, team members, and management while resolving issues in a professional and diplomatic manner.
· The ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural documentation.
· The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, employees, and management.
· The ability to perform basic mathematical calculations including percentages, ratios, and revenue-related computations.
· Flexibility to work a varied schedule based on business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
· The ability to regularly stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
· The ability to regularly lift up to 10 pounds, frequently lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift or move 50+ pounds.
· The ability to push, pull, bend, twist, stoop, crouch, kneel, balance, and work in confined spaces when required.
· The ability to work in an environment with exposure to electrical equipment and elevated noise levels.
· The ability to obtain and maintain all required Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board licenses and approvals.
