POSITION SUMMARY
The role of Accountant directly supports the company's mission to develop and deliver clean power plants that make 100% renewable energy a reality for the world. As the Accountant, you will support all entities for Nordex North America. You will maintain financial records, prepare and analyze financial reports, ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies, and support organizational decision-making through accurate financial information. This work is analytical, evaluative, and advisory in nature and requires a strong understanding of accounting theory, financial reporting, and accounting practice.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations and balance sheet reviews.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting schedules and supporting documentation.
- Analyze financial results, identify trends and variances, and provide recommendations to management.
- Record and reconcile general ledger transactions and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Manage fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, transfers, and disposals.
- Administer lease accounting activities and ensure compliance with IFRS 16 requirements.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation.
- Support internal and external audit requests and provide required financial documentation.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, corporate accounting policies, and internal control requirements.
- Research accounting issues and recommend appropriate accounting treatment.
- Partner with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Treasury teams to support reconciliations, reporting, and financial close processes.
- Partner with Finance and business leaders to support financial decision-making and process improvements.
- Assist in developing, maintaining, and improving accounting processes, procedures, and controls.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
WHAT YOU HAVE
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required. Bachelor's Degree in Finance may be considered with demonstrated accounting experience.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including financial reporting, account reconciliations, balance sheet review, and audit support.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Driving is an essential function of the job. Must possess a full valid driver’s license and be insurable under our auto insurance policy. This position will be subject to periodic driver’s abstract checks to confirm continued insurability.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA preferred. Candidates actively pursuing CPA certification are encouraged to apply.
- Experience with IFRS financial reporting and IFRS 16 lease accounting.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, renewable energy, or multinational organization.
- Financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting experience preferred.
- ERP experience, preferably SAP.
- Experience supporting external and internal audits.
