About the Role:
Katchko & Sons Construction Service is looking for a skilled and dependable Tri-Axle Dump Truck Driver to join our team in Stamford, CT. If you take pride in your work, know how to handle heavy equipment, and want to be part of a hardworking crew, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Operate tri-axle dump trucks to transport materials such as dirt, gravel, asphalt, and construction debris to and from job sites
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance
- Coordinate with site supervisors and crew members for efficient material delivery and dumping
- Navigate job sites and public roadways safely, adhering to all traffic and DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate driver logs, delivery records, and vehicle documentation
- Assist with basic on-site tasks as needed to support construction operations
- Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly to fleet management
Requirements:
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A or B) required
- Proven experience operating tri-axle or heavy dump trucks
- Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with CT roadways, construction sites, and local regulations
- Strong understanding of vehicle safety inspections and basic maintenance
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and on uneven terrain
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player with a professional attitude
