We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our growing team and help keep our car wash equipment operating at peak performance.
Position Overview:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and optimization of automated car wash equipment and related systems. This position is ideal for candidates with experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical repair, electrical troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, facilities maintenance, field service, automotive service, or manufacturing maintenance environments.
The successful candidate will help minimize downtime, improve equipment reliability, and support safe, efficient operations across multiple car wash locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance on automated car wash systems, conveyors, pumps, motors, dryers, vacuums, control panels, and water treatment equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment issues.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures using diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs before equipment breakdowns occur.
- Repair or replace motors, bearings, belts, sensors, relays, switches, pumps, and other equipment components.
- Perform equipment testing, calibration, and system adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, and repair documentation.
- Manage inventory of maintenance supplies, replacement parts, and specialized tools.
- Coordinate parts ordering and vendor support to minimize operational disruptions.
- Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend long-term solutions and equipment upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and company safety policies.
- Respond to maintenance emergencies and equipment breakdowns as needed.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment uptime and operational efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical school, trade school, vocational training, or certification in maintenance, industrial technology, electrical systems, mechanics, automation, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in:Â

- Automotive Service Repair
- Field Service Technician roles
- Experience with conveyors, motors, pumps, electrical controls, PLC systems, hydraulics, or automated equipment preferred.
- Knowledge of car wash equipment and operations is a plus.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and maintenance software.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds.
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, twist, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.
- Climb ladders and work at elevated heights when necessary.
- Ability to distinguish colors for electrical wiring and equipment diagnostics.
- Work in indoor and outdoor environments, including varying weather conditions.
