Where You'll Make a Difference
- Lead the development and execution of Food Ingredients' sustainability governance, reporting, and compliance programs as a standalone company.
- Establish sustainability metrics, data ownership processes, internal controls, reporting calendars, and governance frameworks to support business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
- Coordinate sustainability reporting activities, ensuring accurate and timely data collection, validation, analysis, and reporting for leadership, customers, regulators, lenders, investors, and other stakeholders.
- Develop and manage a responsible sourcing roadmap that aligns with business strategy, customer requirements, regulatory obligations, and procurement priorities.
- Partner with Procurement to advance supplier transparency, traceability, due diligence, certifications, and environmental and social sustainability initiatives across priority raw materials and suppliers.
- Monitor and assess emerging sustainability regulations and reporting requirements, including the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), and other evolving frameworks.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Commercial, Quality, Operations, Regulatory, Legal, Finance, Communications, and Sustainability teams to address sustainability risks, opportunities, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Support the development of sustainability dashboards, leadership updates, and key performance indicators that connect performance outcomes with business decisions and corrective actions.
- Partner with Corporate Affairs and Legal teams to support coordinated responses to environmental and social reputation risks involving customers, media, journalists, non-governmental organizations, activists, and other external stakeholders.
What Makes You the Right Fit
- Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
- Five or more years of experience in sustainability reporting, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) data management, responsible sourcing, sustainable procurement, or supply chain sustainability within a multinational business environment.
- Experience developing, implementing, or managing sustainability governance frameworks, performance metrics, reporting processes, and assurance activities.
- Working knowledge of sustainability reporting standards, customer sustainability assessments, environmental metrics, and responsible sourcing requirements.
- Experience developing or executing responsible sourcing programs, supplier due diligence processes, traceability initiatives, or sustainable procurement strategies.
- Strong analytical skills with experience managing large data sets and utilizing reporting and analysis tools, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Ability to translate complex sustainability, sourcing, and regulatory requirements into actionable business plans and clear stakeholder communications.
- Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, influence stakeholders, and deliver results within a matrixed organization.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills with experience working across multicultural and cross-functional teams.

- Experience supporting sustainability programs within food ingredients, agriculture, natural raw materials, consumer goods, or manufacturing industries.
- Knowledge of regenerative agriculture, biodiversity initiatives, no-deforestation programs, Sedex, supplier sustainability assessments, or related certification programs.
- Experience supporting sustainability disclosures, assurance activities, investor reporting, or environmental and social compliance audits.
