St George Area Lead – Internet Service Technician

CentraCom is seeking a motivated, dependable Area Lead to oversee field operations and install wireless and fiber-optic internet equipment at residential and enterprise customer locations. This hands-on leadership position requires excellent customer service, sound technical judgment, and the ability to adapt to evolving technologies and installation methods.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent CentraCom professionally and build positive relationships with customers, civic partners, facility representatives, and construction partners.
• Lead and support CentraCom employees assigned to projects throughout the service area.
• Coordinate field activities and help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards.
• Install, configure, test, maintain, and troubleshoot wireless and fiber-optic internet equipment at residential and enterprise locations.
• Guide field technicians and verify the quality of installations and service work.
• Deliver an excellent customer experience by communicating clearly and resolving concerns professionally.
• Apply basic knowledge of Blue Stakes and underground utility-locating practices.
• Safely operate a bucket truck and perform basic equipment functions.
• Safely operate and care for company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
• Learn and apply new technologies, equipment, procedures, and installation methods.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, service work, and project activities.
• Work overtime as needed to meet customer demand and service requirements.
• Follow all company safety policies and applicable regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• An Associate/Bachelor's Degree in an electronics related field is preferred but not required

• Experience with wireless or fiber-optic internet installation, telecommunications, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous leadership, crew-lead, or project-coordination experience is preferred.
• Basic understanding of Blue Stakes procedures and underground utility awareness.
• Basic experience operating a bucket truck.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
• Dependable work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness and availability to work overtime when required.
• Ability to learn new technologies and procedures quickly.
• Commitment to safe, accurate, and high-quality work
  
• Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable in working indoors or outdoors
• Be able to do work with minimum supervision
• Have technical skills and knowledge of the telecommunications industry and installation
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
