IT Support - Applications Support Specialist

The corporate headquarters and main sort facility is located in St. Cloud, MN. Job Summary

As an Applications Support Specialist, you are responsible for assisting with the delivery software for the company by utilizing customer service and technological skills to support the growth of the IT department.

Hours and Wages

• Monday-Friday, 7:00AM-4:00PM
• $22.00-24.00 per hour, based on experience

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide first-level contact and proactive support for customers regarding delivery software, handheld devices, and other supported applications
• Assist with the installation, updating, and routine maintenance of software applications
• Collaborate with IT team members to escalate complex issues and contribute to solutions
• Distribute phones and laptops to employees
• Troubleshoot any hardware or software problems
• Implement, configure, and test feasible solutions
• Identify errors in data content and coordinate resolution with customers
• Analyze data and apply critical thinking in order to develop processes and information
• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills and Abilities

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Work requires problem-solving and analytical skills
• Professional telephone etiquette and customer service skills
• Self-motivated and the ability to work independently
• Advanced computer and keyboarding skills- intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with shipping, transportation, TMS, or manifesting software is preferred

Education and Experience

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• An Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and answering the phone
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion
