Job Title: Cardiac Surgeon

What you can expect at your practice:

• Seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Cardiac Surgeon committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care, with additional training and/or experience in advanced cardiac procedures and complex surgical case management.
• Join a high-volume, nationally recognized heart and vascular program with advanced surgical capabilities, including minimally invasive and complex cardiac procedures. 
• Practice in a collaborative, physician-led environment supported by a large, multi-specialty cardiology group offering advanced imaging, electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, and heart failure expertise. 
• Enjoy working in a dedicated Open Heart ICU and specialized Cardiac ICU providing comprehensive care for complex cardiovascular disease, including durable LVAD management. 
• Collaborate with highly experienced cardiovascular nursing teams across ICU, intermediate care, and dedicated cardiac units.
• Work at WellSpan York Hospital, a large tertiary care center with state-of-the-art ORs, hybrid suites, and a 200-bed surgical and critical care tower under construction featuring dedicated cardiac ORs and four hybrid labs.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

• Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required or
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required

Licenses:

• Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or
• Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required

Courses and Training:

• Certification by the American Board of Surgery or American Board of Medical Specialties with experience as a practicing cardiac surgeon in the United States. Upon Hire Required and
• Successful completion of a General Surgery residency. Upon Hire Required and
• Must qualify and be a member of the Medical Staff of the Hospital. Upon Hire Required
