Baystate Health is seeking a Nurse Manager to join our Medical Intercare Unit at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts. Our 42-bed Medical Intercare Unit provides care for a diverse, high-acuity patient population, including tracheostomy and ventilator-dependent patients and those requiring BiPAP/CPAP and high-flow oxygen, working closely with key teams to deliver quality care.

The Nurse Manager role offers the opportunity to lead and develop a skilled, multidisciplinary team while driving excellence in patient care, supporting staff growth, and making a meaningful impact in a high-acuity clinical environment

The Nurse Manager Will:

  • Lead and oversee daily operations of the 42-bed Medical Intercare Unit.
  • Provide clinical leadership and support to nurses and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and patient-centered work environment.
  • Support staff development, engagement, education, and professional growth.
  • Ensure safe, high-quality care for a complex, high-acuity patient population.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, assignments, and resource utilization.
  • Lead initiatives that improve patient experience, clinical outcomes, workflow, and team effectiveness
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.

$130,977.00 - $150,550.00 - $178,048.00
