Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours per week - responsible for Point of Care (Springdale and Bentonville)

What You'll Do

Responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all of the functions within the laboratory section including testing, quality control, training, maintaining supplies, and relating with Laboratory administration. Ensures that services are of the best quality. Responsible for assuring section meets all regulatory requirements. Performs laboratory testing as needed or required. Updates section's computer data base as needed. Evaluates employees using laboratory and hospital guidelines and policies to perform competency assessment. Encourages professional growth and development of staff. Coordinates on site training of Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician students and new hires.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical laboratory technology; or high school diploma or equivalent AND have successfully completed an official military medical laboratory procedures course of at least 50 weeks duration and have held the military enlisted occupational specialty of Medical Laboratory Specialist (Laboratory Technician) or Bachelor's in medical technology from an accredited institution
    Experience: Minimal: At least 2 years of clinical laboratory training or experience or both in high complexity testing.

Preferred Requirements

  • One-year acute care experience.

  • MT/MLS (ASCP), MT (AMT), CLS (NCA), HEW, MLT (ASCP), MLT (AMT), or equivalent certification
