Smith Industries is seeking a dependable Shop & Facility Helper to assist with general housekeeping, cleaning, and upkeep of our shop and facility. This is a hands-on position responsible for helping maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment for our employees.

Responsibilities

Perform general housekeeping and cleanup throughout the shop and facility.
Empty trash cans and dispose of trash and debris in designated areas.
Clean and maintain shop restrooms.
Assist with cleaning office restrooms and common areas as needed.
Sweep and clean shop floors, walkways, entrances, and other work areas.
Pick up and properly dispose of debris and other materials.
Help keep common areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Assist with general facility and shop-support tasks as needed.
Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Report spills, unsafe conditions, or facility concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Must be dependable and maintain regular and reliable attendance.
Willing and able to perform cleaning, housekeeping, and general labor duties.
Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks independently.
Comfortable working in an active manufacturing/shop environment.
Must be willing to assist in different areas of the facility as needed.

Physical Requirements

This is a physically active position that requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting. The employee must be able to safely perform general housekeeping and facility-support duties in a manufacturing environment.
