  • The Medical Assistant at Providence PACE will work collaboratively with the nursing team and primary care provider to deliver basic patient care through both administrative and clinical duties.
  • Candidates must have completed an accredited Medical Assistant program or have two years of medical training in the U.S. Armed Forces, along with 6 months of healthcare and Medical Assistant experience.
  • Upon hire, candidates must possess National Provider BLS certification and National Medical Assistant Certification, as well as complete phlebotomy training within 60 days of hire.
  • The salary for this position will be based on relevant job experience and other applicable factors, with additional compensation opportunities available.

The Medical Assistant  works collaboratively with the nursing team and primary care provider (PCP) to perform duties as directed to assist in providing basic patient care to assigned participants. Basic patient care needs will be met though both administrative and clinical duties. A MA is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training Has completed an accredited Medical Assistant program that includes an externship or has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces. Or equivalent educ/experience
  • Coursework/Training Completion of an approved phlebotomy program or other allied health program that includes phlebotomy training in its curriculum or phlebotomy training completed within 60 days of hire.   
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • Upon hire: National Medical Assistant Certification 
  • 6 months Healthcare experience
  • 6 months Medical Assistant experience

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position.  The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
