Warehouse Worker - Receiving

Position Summary

Responsible for the accurate, safe movement, storage, and shipment of materials in Diesel Power Products' warehouse, directly supporting the fast, reliable order fulfillment our customers expect. Duties include loading and unloading trucks by hand or with equipment such as forklifts and mechanical lifts, filling and labeling orders, and maintaining accurate inventory records.

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs
• Working knowledge of the technology and machinery used to transport and store materials, including forklifts and mechanical lifts
• Solid understanding of inventory processes
• Awareness of public safety and security practices to help prevent workplace injuries
• Ability to use computer technology to create labels, track inventory, and maintain storage records
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Job Duties

• Operate forklifts, mechanical lifts, winches, or other vehicles to move heavy materials
• Load and unload trucks and other vehicles for incoming and outgoing shipments
• Unload, store, and organize equipment and materials in designated warehouse locations
• Move and transport materials between storage, production, and shipping areas
• Take inventory of materials shipped and received
• Count, sort, weigh, and open incoming materials
• Fill warehouse orders accurately and on schedule
• Label boxes and materials to ensure accurate identification and tracking
• Dispose of leftover packing materials such as wooden crates, pallets, and cardboard
