On-Site Sales Representative

Zanders Sporting Goods, a family owned wholesale distribution company in business for more than 60 years is seeking a highly motivated team player with a positive attitude to join our sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for marketing company products, building relationships with customers while interacting closely with them, and exceeding customer’s expectations.

Responsibilities

• Market company products to existing customers
• Continuously strive to identify potential customers
• Listen to customers; anticipate their needs and expectations
• Knowledge of ever changing product offerings
• Resolve questions pertaining to orders to meet customer expectations while adhering to company policies
• Other duties as assigned

Pay Information

For the first twelve months of active employment, Remote Sales Representative will receive a set hourly wage, plus eligible commissions and sales spiffs. The starting hourly wage may vary based on the employees experience and qualifications. Illinois minimum wage is $15.00 per hour.

After successfully completing twelve months in the Remote Sales Representative role, the employee will transition to the company's commission-based compensation structure, which includes a base hourly rate of $9.80 per hour plus earned commissions, variable commissions, and spiffs. Total compensation will vary based on sales performance and the commissions and spiffs earned under the company's applicable compensation programs.

• High School Diploma or GED; required.
• FOID Card; required for Illinois Residents.
• Previous sales experience; required.
• Strong background in B2B sales or account management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook.
• Strong knowledge of basic computer operations.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Multi-task oriented.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with prospective and existing customers.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Outstanding marketing management skills.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
