Lube Technician
About the Role
The Lube Technician performs basic vehicle maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid inspections. This role supports shop productivity and ensures vehicles are maintained according to OEM guidelines.
Essential Functions / Key Responsibilities
- Perform oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication services.
- Rotate, balance, and inspect tires.
- Inspect vehicles using multipoint inspection standards.
- Perform basic diagnostic checks and battery testing.
- Check and top off fluids and maintain proper levels.
- Document findings in the MPI system accurately.
- Follow all shop safety procedures and guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist senior technicians with basic repair tasks.
- Communicate vehicle concerns to Service Advisors.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with shop cleanup and closing duties.
- Support express lane workflow during peak hours.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Experience preferred but not required, training available.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to learn dealership systems and diagnostic tools.
- Valid driver’s license.
Work Environment
Indoor service shop environment with noise, lifts, and automotive fluids.
Physical Requirements
- Lifting 25–50 lbs
- Standing for most of the shift
- Bending and kneeling
Schedule
Full-time; may include Saturdays.

Compensation
- $18.50-$25/hr (based on experience and performance)
