SMCC summary of benefits 2025.pdf POSITION SUMMARY: SMCC is seeking a full-time faculty member in fire science to teach introductory and advanced level courses beginning immediately or January 2027. Candidates should be well versed in the response, prevention, leadership and administrative aspects of fire, EMS and risk management fields. Responsibilities include teaching an average of five courses per semester, advising students in workforce and academic programs, developing and adapting curricula, participating in department/college committees and activities, and other professional duties related to the position. Appointment will begin at the instructor level.
