Our partner firm, RRBB based in Somerset, NJ is hiring!
We are seeking a CAAS Senior Manager to join its growing Somerset, NJ office. The CAAS Senior Manager provides senior engagement leadership for a portfolio of outsourced accounting clients. This role ensures consistent delivery quality, manages complex accounting and operational issues, oversees engagement staffing and performance, and partners with clients on process improvements and strategic reporting needs. The Sr Manager coaches Managers/Supervisors, drives standardization and automation across workflows, and supports growth through retention, expansion, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Lead delivery oversight for a portfolio of CAS engagements; ensure close timelines, quality standards, and service expectations are met across teams
Review and approve complex workpapers, reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting packages; ensure conclusions are supported and documentation is audit-ready
Serve as escalation point for technical accounting and operational issues; coordinate with clients and internal stakeholders to implement solutions
Provide people leadership to Managers and Supervisors, including coaching, performance feedback, goal setting, and talent development planning
Oversee team capacity planning and staffing across engagements; balance utilization, client needs, and development opportunities
Own client relationship management for assigned accounts, including proactive communications, issue resolution, and expectation-setting
Monitor engagement economics, scope changes, and risk; partner with leadership to address profitability, resourcing, and delivery risks
Drive continuous improvement initiatives (standardization, templates, automation) and ensure adoption across teams
Requirements
8+ years of accounting experience, including close and financial reporting; prior people leadership required
Demonstrate experience leading managers and overseeing complex accounting deliverables
Strong client relationship management, executive communication, and expectation-setting skills
Ability to analyze complex information, make decisions, and manage competing priorities across multiple engagements
Strong operational discipline (process design, standardization, change management, and automation adoption)
