The Warehouse Manager is located in Solon, Ohio and in charge of supervising warehouse staff. Travel is required periodically (5%). The position of the warehouse manager is responsible for all aspects of warehouse functions including the receiving, storing, handling, shipping and preparing of product for customer delivery while maintaining the warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion.Â

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for hiring and training staff
- Working with warehouse staff to improve individuals and group performance.
- Develops a process plan including people, resources, equipment and floor space for each distribution receipt.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems and assist warehouse staff in solving problems.
- Responding to the needs of internal as well as external customers
- Responsible for complete facilities maintenance (grounds, building, equipment). Reports malfunctions to General Manager, obtains estimates for repairs and oversees that repairs are done according to estimates.
- Work with management to ensure that all records and reports regarding warehouse activity are prepared on a timely basis and effectively maintained.
- Tracking and coordinating the receipt, storage of goods and materials
- Receives material coming into the building from suppliers, customers, or other warehouses accurately and promptly.
- Operates forklift and other warehouse equipment in order to pick and put away product in standard, narrow valley and double rack systems.
- Conduct Safety Inspections and making sure equipment is working properly. (Fire extinguishers, forklifts, etc.)
- Coordinates with Customer Service in scheduling trucks for shipping and will call of products.
- Coordinates with Purchasing in scheduling trucks for inbound loads of products to each warehouse.
- Coordinates with Purchasing, inventory counts or discrepancies.
- Verifies the quantity and description of materials received by checking merchandise against the packing list.
- Examine incoming shipments and reject damaged items. Appropriately   report/record any discrepancies.
- Orders warehouse supplies for packaging and shipping of products.
- Prepare incident reports
- Comply with procedures, rules and regulations.
- Ensures warehouse is clean and organized.
- Monthly warehouse reporting
- Annual jurisdictional Haz-mat reporting

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Warehouse and distribution
- Forklift Certified
- Haz-Mat handling, storage and shipping

 Physical Requirements:
- Able to move/lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
- Able to withstand temperatures in a typical warehouse environment
- Position spends several hours per day standing, walking, lifting, pulling and pushing
