Position Summary
The Packaging Supervisor will work closely with other department heads to ensure the smooth flow of materials, paperwork and information, so that finished product will be completed according to the customer's needs and cGMP. Achieve product on goals in a consistent manner. Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with management and sales departments.
Job Functions:
- Ensure all safety and fire prevention requirements are met.
- Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards.
- Examine documents, materials and products, and monitor work processes, in order to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications.
- Review documents such as production schedules, work orders and staffing tablets in order to determine personnel and materials requirements and material priorities.
- Confer with all personnel involved to coordinate production and shipping activities, and to resolve complaints or eliminate delays.
- Assure that the employees and work area are in compliance with cGMP's and Sop's.
- Confer with management to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances. Administer disciplinary process, when required.
- Review employees to ensure they are adequately trained and administer LNK training program to new employees or when required.
- Minimum Education or Experience Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
