We are seeking a Special Education Case Manager to support high school students in Yelm, Washington. This is a non-teaching position focused on IEP writing, case management, compliance, and coordination of special education services. The Case Manager will work closely with teachers, families, related service providers, and school staff to ensure each student's IEP is accurate, current, compliant, and appropriately implemented.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned high school special education caseloads.
  • Write, develop, review, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Prepare annual IEPs, amendments, progress reports, and required special education documentation.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and facilitate IEP meetings.
  • Gather student progress and performance information from teachers and related service providers.
  • Ensure IEP goals, accommodations, services, and present levels are accurately documented.
  • Track IEP timelines, reevaluations, and other compliance deadlines.
  • Coordinate with teachers and service providers to ensure required services and accommodations are documented and communicated.
  • Communicate with families regarding IEP meetings, student progress, and special education services.
  • Maintain accurate student records and ensure compliance with district, state, and federal special education requirements.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary and special education team meetings.
  • No classroom teaching


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field.
  • Valid or eligible Special Education teaching license or credential as required by the state.
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development, documentation, and special education compliance.
  • Experience writing and managing IEPs strongly preferred.
  • Strong organization, written communication, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple students, deadlines, and IEP requirements simultaneously.
