Responsibilities
- Establish effective mechanisms of communication with staff, providers, and patients to foster openness, trust, teamwork, and staff development
- Act as a liaison between physicians/providers and organizational leadership to achieve effective communication and optimal operational processes
- Lead recruitment, hiring, onboarding, orientation, and training; ensure timely follow-up for new providers and staff
- Partner with medical leadership and HR on provider performance and talent management; serve as consultant and decision maker on employee relations matters
- Balance team and individual responsibilities; give and welcome feedback; contribute to positive team goals; attend staff meetings and ensure follow-up
- Take the leadership role in times of disaster to secure the safety of staff, patients, visitors, the facility, and protected health information
- Hold full authority over daily operations; coordinate clinic workflows, work schedules, staffing needs, and day-to-day management
- Provide leadership to ensure effective, efficient office operations, optimizing performance and continually improving quality of care in a changing healthcare environment
- Possess in-depth knowledge of protocols, processes, policies, and procedures; apply them in decision making and guide staff
Qualifications
Education:Â
- Bachelor's degree required or a combination of education and experience.
- Master's degree in business or health care management preferred.
Experience:Â
- Two (2) years Leadership/Administration experience with a strong clinical background in compliance and regulation required.
- Two (2) years experience in accounts receivable, including billing and collections, with ICD-9/ICD-10 and CPT coding required.
- One (1) year health care experience or demonstrated clinical and leadership efficiency preferred.
- One (1) year clinical operations experience preferred.
- One (1) year experience in personnel management, facility management, financial management, budgeting and computers preferred.
- One (1) year knowledge and experience with process improvement preferred.
License(s)/Certification(s):Â
- Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons required. Â
- IA Mandatory Reporter Adult and Child Abuse with in 60 days of hire.
- Obtain CPI/MOAB (Management of Aggressive Behaviors) certification within 6 months of hire and maintain certification by-yearly.Â
