JOB SUMMARY
The Busser is responsible for ensuring tables are cleared, cleaned, and reset quickly for the prompt seating and service of guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cleans and resets tables in accordance with sanitation guidelines and company standards
- Maintains cleanliness of all side stations
- Stocks dishes, silverware, paper supplies, and other required items to remain par levels of all equipment during service
- Sweeps or mops as needed
- Communicates with host for seating needs and guest service issues
- May assist in the deliverance of items ordered by guests, including food and beverage items
- Performs other related duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and thorough with strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work under stress in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of menu items and service as well as basic restaurant operations and culinary terminology
- Knowledge of dining room sanitation standards and procedures
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Customer service or food & beverage experience preferred
- Must obtain valid gaming license, where applicable
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
- The employee is required to stand for the duration of the shift.
- The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, climb, balance, push, pull, lift, reach, twist, and bend while enduring prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- The employee may be required to lift up to 50 pounds or push carts weighing up to 200 pounds.
- The employee may be required to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
- The work environment may vary in levels of crowds, noise, and smoke, depending on the assigned station and customer volume
