About the Role
Legal Management Group is a well-established law firm committed to delivering high-quality legal services to our clients. We are seeking a Mailroom Clerk to support the efficient handling, organization, and distribution of incoming and outgoing mail and packages while providing general administrative support to the office.
This role requires someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable handling confidential documents and information. Spanish proficiency is a plus, as many of our clients communicate primarily in Spanish.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and sign for incoming registered, certified, and regular mail and packages.
- Sort and distribute mail according to department, location, or category.
- Date-stamp incoming mail and record relevant information, including sender details.
- Maintain accurate records of incoming packages, including weight, return address, and description.
- Prepare outgoing correspondence and packages for mailing, including verifying addresses and applying appropriate postage.
- Correct and re-forward misdirected mail as needed.
- Coordinate express and priority deliveries when required.
- Distribute mail and packages to the appropriate individuals or departments.
- Monitor and maintain mailroom supplies, including stamps, envelopes, labels, and other materials.
- Handle confidential and sensitive documents with discretion.
- Assist with general office and administrative tasks as needed.
- Support the office with other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a mailroom, office assistant, administrative support, or similar role preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with others.
- Familiarity with mailroom procedures and standard office equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, dependable, and able to work in a fast-paced office environment.
- Spanish proficiency is a plus.
