Grain Handler/Truck Driver

Description

  The Grain Handler/Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of grain and agricultural products between farms, customers, and company locations, while supporting operational efficiency, maintaining product quality, and delivering excellent customer service.

Requirements

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Load, unload, transport, and transfer grain and products safely and accurately.
• Verify delivery tickets and ensure products are delivered correctly.
• Monitor grain quality and assist with inventory management.
• Operate grain handling equipment and perform routine inspections.
• Perform basic maintenance and assist with equipment repairs.
• Operate feed trucks and other assigned vehicles as needed.
• Maintain accurate trip reports and required documentation.
• Report safety concerns, equipment issues, and maintenance needs promptly.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• Valid Class A CDL or ability to obtain one through required training.
• Ability to work extended seasonal hours.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
• Strong attention to detail and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently stand, walk, climb, bend, and reach.
• Regularly use hands for handling equipment and materials.
• Occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to safely operate vehicles, equipment, and machinery.
