Summary: The Controls Estimator is responsible for preparing cost estimates by analyzing customer’s scope of work, specifications, requirements and detailed controls content to create competitive bids.


Responsibilities:

  1. Estimate content, scope, and costs for controls manufacturing, controls engineering, integration and tryout.
  2. Complete understanding of quoted scope of work based on original estimated content, project line up, and documentation provided.
  3. Maintain accurate matrixes of all estimates per project/job number.
  4. Estimate work for past projects such as kits, product changes, and enhancements.
  5. Participate in project team meetings.
  6. Perform all other duties, as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. Two years of experience in estimating or controls design or the equivalent of three years in tool pipe & wire assembly, system integration and controls manufacturing. Experience in estimating preferred but not required. 
  3. Familiar with robotic spot welding and MIG welding systems and equipment.
  4. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  5. Familiar with AutoCAD.
  6. Strong analytical skills used to review and compile data.
  7. Ability to write quote letters using correct grammar and punctuation. 
  8. Self-motivated and deadline focused.
  9. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
