Job Description:

The Mechanical Machine Assembler assembles and erects complex box-making machinery, including feed, printing, cutter, and scorer-slotter sections. The role requires precision mechanical assembly, alignment, and adjustment using blueprints, measuring instruments, hand tools, and power tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret complex assembly drawings and specifications.
  • Assemble and align machine components to tight tolerances.
  • Work with shafts, gears, sprockets, and mechanical structures.
  • Identify defects and troubleshoot assembly or operating issues.
  • Complete quality and production documentation.
  • Support team members and train less-experienced employees.
  • Recommend improvements to assembly processes and machine designs.
  • Follow all safety procedures and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 1 year of mechanical, automotive, maintenance, repair, or assembly experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand complex mechanical assemblies.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
