Job Summary:
The Commercial Project Supervisor oversees day-to-day execution of commercial roofing projects, serving as the link between crews, management, and customers. This role requires strong multitasking, clear communication, and the ability to manage both field logistics and personnel. Knowledge of commercial roofing systems is a plus, but training will be provided. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document and communicate projects status to the management team multiple times daily, keeping crew progress and schedules in sync.
- Provide logistics direction and support to ensure on-time installations.
- Assist roofing foreman in resolving challenges encountered on projects.
- Review in-progress and completion reports, using them to identify areas for improvements.
- Review Company Cam and update roof maps.
- Conduct a final on-site inspection with the foreman before closing out a job.
- Schedule in-progress and final inspections as required by permit.
- Conduct regular employee meetings, providing direction, training, and discipline as needed.
- Assist with hiring and training crew members.
- Supervise and maintain time and attendance records for all crews.
- Dispatch crews to job sites.
- Review and approve vacation requests.
- Support the Safety Manager in ensuring field compliance with company safety policies.
- Coordinate material planning and product/equipment delivery
- Pull inventory for jobs as necessary.
- Track all returns coming back to the shop.
- Facilitate repair requests for company vehicles and equipment.
- Ensure completion of accurate job instruction packets.
- Review receipts and evaluate branch expenses.
- Communicate appropriate project start dates to customers.
- Attend management meetings and contribute to the company’s growth plan.
Qualifications:
- Ability to balance multiple tasks and communicate effectively with internal teams and external customers.
- Knowledge of commercial systems preferred; training provided.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
- Must be a able to climb a ladder, work comfortably at heights, and on roofs.
- Willingness to work weekends as needed.
