Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Manage and develop a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, applied scientists, and product managers; set vision, hire bar-raising talent, and foster a culture of scientific rigor and operational excellence
Forecast Stewardship: Own the overall forecast narrative across device product lines, ensuring portfolio-level coherence and across lifetime demand, pre-launch, and sustaining models
Category Benchmarking: Maintain a current view of category growth dynamics and shifting consumer preferences; calibrate topline forecast assumptions accordingly
New Program Evaluation: Assess the demand impact of roadmap additions — new features, form factors, market expansions — leveraging conjoint analysis, willingness-to-pay surveys, and portfolio simulation tools
Pre-Launch Forecasting: Execute and continuously improve the Pre-Launch Forecasting SOP, coordinating cross-functional reviews with Product, Sales, and Finance teams ahead of product launches Basic Qualifications: - PhD in economics or equivalent
- Experience with at least one of the following: Matlab, R, Python, Stata
- Experience manipulating large sets of data, summarizing into metrics, and conducting appropriate statistical tests (e.g., regression, t-test, chi-square) Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in applied economic analysis and with big data and machine learning or data science
- Experience building and growing teams of economists or machine learning scientists

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
