As an Solutions Architect, you’ll be the person who makes it all work. You’ll own the technical execution of our lab environment, build and configure demo experiences, keep devices healthy and test accounts ready, and ensure flawless on-the-ground delivery for CXBR sessions and major launch events. You’ll be the hands-on builder and operator who turns those plans into reality.
We’re looking for a technically versatile, detail-oriented problem solver with a bias for action, someone who can configure a smart home demo environment in the morning, troubleshoot a misbehaving device at lunch, and coordinate the week’s review and testing sessions by the afternoon. This is a role that rewards curiosity, resourcefulness, and a love for making technology work beautifully in ambiguous spaces.
Key job responsibilities
Lab Operations & Device Management Own the Day 1 Home Lab (D1HL) — managing the full device fleet, firmware, troubleshooting, and replacements to keep every device demo-ready. Maintain test accounts, user profiles, and smart home configurations that mirror real customer scenarios. Develop maintenance routines and documentation supporting product testing, CXBR sessions, and ad-hoc demos. Manage scheduling, badge access, and reservation logistics.
Product Release Mechanisms Contribute to the central mechanisms governing Alexa+ feature releases. Own specific workstreams including intake tracking, readiness criteria, and cross-team coordination. Proactively identify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce churn, and improve delivery speed and predictability across the portfolio.
CXBR Program Support Support day-to-day execution of the Customer Experience Bar Raising program. Manage session intake, scheduling, and logistics. Provide hands-on technical support during sessions, troubleshooting in real time so reviewers can evaluate features without friction. Capture feedback and track issues through to resolution.
Launch Event & Marketing Support Provide pre-event technical execution for major Alexa+ launches and marketing events. Configure device environments, prepare demo infrastructure, and partner with marketing and PR to translate technical capabilities into customer-facing stories. Manage event equipment, handle product logistics, and deliver on-site technical support. Travel ~ 2x/year
A day in the life
Manage the Day 1 Home Lab end-to-end: fleet health, installation, firmware, troubleshooting, and device replacement. Provision and maintain test accounts, user profiles, and smart home configurations for demos, CXBR sessions, and launch events. Configure environments and provide real-time technical support during reviews and events. Set up AV, presentation systems, and physical infrastructure. Own lab scheduling, badge access, and reservation logistics. Document processes and runbooks to ensure repeatable operations. Maintain equipment inventory and track device and account usage.
Basic Qualifications: - 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
- 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
- Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
