Responsibilities  

  • Corroborate patient's clinical history with procedure, assuring information is documented and available for the licensed practitioners' use
  • Prepare patient for procedure providing instruction and education
  • Select and operate magnetic resonance system and related equipment
  • Maintain professionalism, compassion, and a demeanor consistent with medical ethics in all patient and team interactions.
  • Recognize essential conditions for successful completion of procedure
  • Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring safety, comfort, and clear communication throughout the exam
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, providers, and support staff to ensure a seamless workflow and excellent patient outcomes
  • Support clinic operations and complete additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability to perform the essential functions:   
  • Minimum of graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology
  • Must unrestricted NYS licensure and ARRT certification
  • Must have ARRT MRI certification or be willing to complete MRI certification within 1 year of hire or transfer date
  • Current with continuing education requirements to maintain ARRT certification
  • Additional education in sectional human anatomy a plus
  • Experience in medical imaging 
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to travel to other OrthoNY locations if needed depending on staffing and needs.
