Summary of Position:

Check the customer's production sequences and ship out seats accordingly. Secure shipment timeline not to affect the customer`s production. In case of lack of seats, communicate with related teams.

EHS

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the shipping and receiving of the logistical functions of the company by monitoring internal inventory and building and comparing to HMGMA broadcasts
  • Ship out sequenced seats to HMGMA according to required sequencing provided by HMGMA broadcast
  • Assist in the coordination of the flow of work and materials through the manual movement of pallets on and within the ASRS and the platform 
  • Aid in shipment schedules
  • Confer with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion times/dates
  • Assist in the compilation of reports on progress of work, and inventory levels
  • Examine contents and compare with records such as manifests, invoices or orders to verify accuracy of incoming and/or outgoing shipment
  • Prepare documents such as work orders, bills of lading and shipping orders to route materials
  • Material handling functions as required
  • Assist with maintenance with repairs, maintain fluent ASRS functions
  • Support to oversee delivery (seats) packing work
  • Knowledge of computers, and ASRS systems.
  • Be able to trouble shoot ASRS, and conveyor system.
  • Minimize any downtime, assist with repairs and troubleshooting to avoid customer downtime.
  • Scan all seats, verify correct labels to seat options.
  • Ensure 5-S is adhered to properly
  • Track parts using electronic system
  • Follow processes and procedures associated with the Logistics/Shipping & Receiving area
  • Write production reports if needed
  • Performs any variety of operations within the group to maintain flow of work
  • Perform monthly inventory counts
  • Assists in managing the consumption/assessment of differences in actual stock quantities vs. inventory system
  • Aid in maintaining customer and internal packaging instructions
  • Follow requirements of Quality policy, ISO/TS16949
  • Follow all safety policies
  • Follow company SOP (Standard Operating Procedures)


Technical Skills Required:

  • Experience in the material/product movement of automotive components utilizing various lifts and devices
  • Must have strong computer skills and capable of learning ASRS program
  • 1+ year of experience in material management/shipping & receiving is preferred
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills required
  • Computer skills, PDA, warehouse management systems

Position Requirements and Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma/GED preferred

Technical Skills Required

  • Working knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel 
  • Knowledge of SAP and MES systems
  • Able to work in a rapidly changing environment
